Making earrings is delicate work. For as long as I've been woodworking, I've been making earrings. When making larger items it's inevitable that there will be scraps. I make it my mission to save and reuse as many scraps as possible. Oftentimes, I can recall which items produced the scraps certain earrings are made of.
Truthfully, there is no rhyme or reason as to which earrings I make and how many pairs I make. Sometimes, I'll find a scrap that speaks to me and boom a new earring design is born. Other times, I'll get a request for a specific style of earrings, love them, and make a few pairs.
Right now, I'm making an effort to branch out of the norm and make some truly unique earrings. I put a lot of effort into these tiny items. From concept to completion it can take months or mere hours for a pair of earrings to take form.
